How to Choose the Right Industrial Plug and Socket
Choosing the correct industrial plug and socket is essential for electrical safety, equipment reliability and long product lifetime.
Industrial plugs are not all the same. A socket used inside a dry workshop is not necessarily suitable for outdoor installation, construction sites or humid environments.
Step 1: Identify the electrical load
The first step is to check the current required by the equipment:

Step 2: Check voltage and phase

- impact risk
- temperature
- chemical exposure
- frequency of connection and disconnection
Step 5: Select certified products
Electrical products placed on the EU market must respect applicable safety requirements. The Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU applies to electrical equipment between 50–1,000 V AC and 75–1,500 V DC.
